The Breath of God Moves upon the waters

In a beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was null and void; and dark upon Infinity's face. And God's Spirit moved upon the water's face. Genesis 1:1-2

My name is Robert Walter, welcome to my website.

This is a Link to another of my sites which is a commentary on the six days of creation

Hello, I chose the title for this website from my interpretation of Genesis chapter 1 verse 2 where it says the earth was null and void; and 'dark upon infinity's face.' This translation of verse two is as correct as I can come to an accurate translation of the first two verses without changing its meaning from the Hebrew.

For centuries scholars have looked at scripture as having both a literal and a hidden meaning. For example the word, Bereshith, which we translate 'in the beginning'
is believed to hold hidden meanings, for example if you take the first letter and the last two and place them as a word between the middle part the world means "The Head of the House."

Using this style of transcipting hidden meanings the first two verses of Genesis can be translated as:

"The head of the House, God, created the heavens and the earth. And the earth had been without form and void; and dark upon my face from infinity. And Breath from God hovered upon my face the waters."

In this esoterical meaning creation is seen from the point of the soul, having no beginning, its form utter darkness, until the father of all souls breathed life into it among the unfathomable Ocean of time.

In this meaning it speaks of personal revelation from engulfing nothingness to to first moment of conscious realization of God's breath hovering from on hi over our form which are composed mostly of the waters.
